ABOUT THE FOUNDATION & OUR MISSION

After the sudden tragic passing of William E Benton III (also known as "Billy") on October 12th, 2021, his wife and three daughters knew he should never be forgotten by the city and surrounding areas he loved. The Bill Benton Foundation was created in honor of Bill Benton, founder, and owner of B&B Plumbing and Heating. Bill had over 30 years of experience in the trade industry. He started as a laborer, grew to a master plumber, and ultimately founded a successful business that he ran for 23 years. As a business owner, he always provided exceptional service to his customers and developed lifelong relationships within his community. He managed a team of over 40 employees and helped foster their careers in an environment that gave them room to grow and thrive. The Bill Benton Foundation will continue Billy’s legacy through the minds, skills, and hard work of others. 

Bill Benton was a hard-working man with deep, solid, core values. He was a hometown hero to his community. The Bill Benton Foundation is an extension of his legacy. With the trades being overlooked today, it is more important than ever to offer resources to individuals in the industry that Bill was so passionate about. Tradespeople from all backgrounds who value a positive attitude, hard work, dedication, and the commitment to helping others deserve the opportunity to achieve their dreams. The Bill Benton Foundation will equip these individuals with the necessary items that they need to succeed, such as tuition, tools, certifications, and licenses. With the help of this foundation, we hope that these individuals will thrive and make a positive impact on the community and surrounding areas that Bill so deeply loved.
